SOOKE, BC, Feb. 06, 2004 (TLC) - This is an exciting opportunity to explore in a very practical way, the concepts and principles of agroecology and agroecological design at Glenairley - Centre for Earth and Spirit in East Sooke on Vancouver Island, BC. Workshop participants will enjoy a very "hands-on" learning experience during which they will be introduced to the concepts and principles of agroecology and agroecological design. The Centre of Earth and Spirit's proposed gardens will provide the focus for the workshop. At the end of the 2 days participants will have a basic understanding of practical planning and design strategies, tools and skills that can be used to develop their own sustainable gardens or farms.
