Doing Good Better
TORONTO, ON, June 2004 (Sustainability Network) - This month, we are able to offer free copies of “Doing Good Better” by Edgar Stoesz and Chester Raber (145 pages, retail value $14.95, published by Good Books and revised in 1997). Well-meaning individuals become board members, but few are given adequate instructions about how to do their job well. Here, two veterans of many boards lucidly address the ideal relationship between a nonprofit organization and its board. They candidly cover the realities that often threaten that relationship, then suggest strategies for overcoming these common difficulties. We can provide one book per organization and reserve the right to limit distribution if demand is extraordinarily high. To apply for your free copy, email your name and the organization’s mailing address to Shehrina at info@sustain.web.ca. For a free 7 page summary of the book, you can also visit:
