All Together Now: Household Emergency Preparedness Program
NY, NY, Oct. 29, 2004 (Empowerment Institute) - Empowerment Institute in partnership with New York City Office of Emergency Management has developed a program to help NYC residents take the necessary actions to be resilient in the face of emergencies ranging from terrorist attacks, to eneregy disruptions, to natural disasters. Called All Together Now (http://empowermentinstitute.net/atn/index.html) the program can be done as an individual household or as part of a building or block-based team of neighboring households. This initiative is being piloted in NYC over 2004/5. The program is expected to be on-line by January 2005. Interimly, this site describes the program, actions and process.
